In this dynamic and broad-ranging role, you will be responsible for the global purchasing strategy, supplier selection, international procurement processes, and for ensuring an efficient and sustainable supply chain.
Which tasks await you?
- Develop and implement a global purchasing strategy in line with the corporate strategy
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships worldwide
- Negotiate and conclude framework agreements with international suppliers
- Manage and optimize global procurement processes
- Ensure compliance, sustainability, and risk management across the supply chain
- Lead and develop the global procurement team
- Monitor relevant KPIs and report to management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (development, product management, quality, production, logistics)
What you need to succeed:
- A relevant degree in business or technical studies (e.g. Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field)
- Strong technical affinity, particularly in high-performance plastics
- Several years of strategic purchasing experience, ideally in an international environment
- Leadership experience in decentralized teams
- Fluency in German and English; other languages are a plus
- Strong analytical, strategic, and project management skills, with experience in digital purchasing systems
- Willingness to travel intercontinentally on a regular basis
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build strong partnerships
- A solution-oriented mindset and strong analytical capabilities
